Guest Speaker: Mark Kent, Market Vice President, Humana

Mark Kent is Market Vice President for Medicare Operations at Humana. In this role, Mark is responsible for leading market operations and for positioning Humana for growth in the state of Ohio across its Medicare products. Prior to assuming this position, Mark, being a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, led a team of over two hundred and ten associates to successfully develop, produce, and distribute Humana’s Medicare sales and marketing material serving 15,000 agents, across 1,700 locations in 50 states. This year long effort helped Humana to realize its best sales and revenue years ever in its history, and the processes are still in place today. Prior to joining Humana Mark was a successful entrepreneur of two companies.
Mark has written and published several articles on organizational behavior and healthcare management, is a frequent speaker on health care matters, and has served on the boards of several local and national charities. Additionally, Mark founded the Foster Children’s United Society, a not-for-profit foundation in Florida which assists foster children throughout the state.
Mark earned an MBA from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, graduating with highest honors.
